Marriage is not about two people becoming one - it’s about two learning to blend personalities.

This statement always gets me in trouble. I don’t believe marriage makes two people one – it brings two people together, and in that, they seek strengthening through learning to blend their unique personalities. It’s the blending that brings understanding by allowing each to be whom they are. Make sense?
